There is only one aeroport in Menorca, and it is located in Mahon.The whole year: Air-Europa (connection with Palma), Iberia (connection with Madrid), Vueling (conection with Barcelona).From March till October there are more companies which connect the island with different destinations in Spain and other countries.

There are not many public means of transport. Although it is possible to find connection almost everywhere on the island in summer, it is difficult to find buses to the residential areas out of season.Below you can check schedules and telephones of the main bus companies.
There are connections between the aeroport and the central stop in Mahon, which connects with other lines on the island.
Recommendation: Hire a car; it is the best way to get everywhere at your pace, specially out of season.
Mediterranean climate, with an annual average temperature between 16º and 18ºC. The summer average is 24º (although some days it can exceed 30º), and the winter one is 10º. The north wind (“Tramuntana”) is very characteristic of the Minorcan climate, and it can last some days. The rains vary between 450 and 650 mm, and it is the Autumn when it rains more and more frequently.
The general business hours are 10 – 20h, and the chemist’s one is 9:30 – 20 hours, Monday to Friday. The chemists and shops usually only open in the morning on Saturday, although the tourist places and big chaines have longer opening hours (usually Saturdays afternoons as well).

Euro. In general, bancs open 9 – 14 hours, Monday to Friday, with slight differences among them.

We speak Minorcan and Spanish. Besides, English is spoken at many shops and tourist places.
